MP Innovations. - The Slate Catcher
Caravan Advice - DIY - Feedback - Handy Hints - Maintenance - Miscellaneous - Your Questions

On returning home after a recent holiday in his touring caravan Michael saw some broken slates lying in his driveway and another one lodged in the drain gutter where his caravan or car would normally be parked. Realising that this could have caused some extremely expensive damage to either the caravan or the car he came up with the solution which he has called "Slate catcher". Yet another simple solution that will save you lots of money for a small outlay.

Shopping list
Strips of strong plastic in 1800mm x 50mm x 3mm
Screws or pop rivets

Installation
Using clamps clamp the 1 st plastic strip to the gutter.
Secure the strip to the gutter at 300mm distance apart
Repeat on each strip till full length is finished.
