rebuilding of the front
HBAR
We now turned our attention to rebuilding of the front end.
Annette made a paper template of the corner former plate out of paper and then traced it onto a  a piece of timber  that measured 6"wide by3/4" thick, using my faithful Jigsaw I cut the shape to a rough size of the plate and then using a hand rasp I brought the plate to the exact size needed.
Once in place we used no nails glue and screws to hold it firmly in place, this was then left overnight to harden.
Now we could concentrate on the window frame rebuild, this was done in two sections. First we shaped measured and cut all the timber needed , most of the frame was built with 3/4"square planed wood and the locator plate for the push handle was made from a piece of wood measuring 8"x 3/4" by 3" wide. once we had all the timber ready we screwed the inner spar brace plate and push handle plate into place, now we screwed the two uprights to the base plate from the underneath. you will notice their is a gap between the frame , this is for the wires to the side light and indicator light to pass through without being trapped.
Once the frame was built it was time to marry it up to the caravan and make sure that the frame was right and would deliver the strength that is needed.
once we were convinced that it was perfect we then glued , screwed and clamped the frame into place and left over night to harden.
