Review by Jan and Mark Metcalfe
The Cambrose Caravan site is near Redruth in Cornwall, the nearest resort is Portreath. It is situated between Newquay and St Ives, and is handy for seeing lots of sightseeing venues or surfing. The caravan site which takes tourers and tents is level and well drained. There is free hot water, showers, baby facilities, and swimming pool, games room. There is also a good laundry room for a small charge. The site shop is well stocked and is licensed. It is open often. Graham also has a mobile chip van which is open on certain days (not sure if he still has this, he did last year!) and is popular with the visitors. The owners, Graham and Jean give a warm, friendly welcome and are flexible in their approach. If they can do something to help then they will go out of their way to do so. The site is a small family run site and has the right balance between professionalism and friendliness. It is like going home. It has a website which is good, and informative (but doesn't capture the true beauty and atmosphere of the place, you have to visit to appreciate the site), you can email for information and even book online. My family have been holidaying there for several years, would highly recommend anyone to try there.
Please recommend a Caravan and Camping Park
