From the country lane approach running beside a tumbling river, to the glades where you pitch amidst the wild flowers, this site is heaven - so peaceful you'll not want to leave. Take your binoculars as the bird life is varied and colourful, and if you're a wild flower enthusiast you'll find plenty to note, even wild orchids. Anglers with a National River Licence may fish in the river (permits are available between 1 February to 31 August from the site office). There are several walks from the site. Kendal, a small market town famous for its mint cake, isn't far for shopping. Travelling further north you're into the South Lakes . Even when visitors are there in number, you can't beat the swoop of the fells and the deep blue of the lakes, and for walkers the fells are pure joy. If you want to escape the crowds, go further north and enjoy the peace of the less visited Lakes.

Personal Review by Chris J, owner of a 1970 Thomson Glennevis
We went to Kendal In August to Low Park Wood which is a Caravan Club site.
We stayed for a whole week (the longest in the van yet lol)
It always amazes me the amount of people who stop to chat about the van.
The site itself is ideally located 1 hour from Blackpool, 45 Mins from Morecambe, and with Lancaster and Lake Windemere also nearby, it was a fun packed busy holiday.

Please recommend a Caravan and Camping Park
