Review by Frank Sinclair
My wife and I stayed at this site last year during the heat wave.
We found a site that was both homely and very much a family park.
The site is ideally suited for families as well as couples, who like to tour. The site is centrally situated for touring a great and varied number of tourist sites. One of the nice things about this site is that the proprietors don't have a big shop like some sites, only a wee shop for emergencies. When we arrived Mrs. Taylor asked us what papers we required, and what type of morning rolls (the choice was Butteries, Softies or Glasgow), they pick them up first thing in the morning and you get them at the shop.
One of the places of interest close to the site is Pennan; it was in this little village, clinging to the cliff side, that the film "Local Hero", starring Burt Lancaster, was filmed. This village, and many other towns and villages in this area, make this a tourist hot spot as far a we are concerned, with many different and historical places to visit or explore.
Definitely something for everyone! - Be he or she young or not so young,
shoppers, preserved rail enthusiasts, whisky trail, heritage followers, etc.
